Google e-books from Otowi Station

What's this about e-books and Otowi Station?

Yes, Otowi Station is now able to sell Google e-books online through this website (as well as "regular" books we all love so much).

Your favorite e-books are on the Otowi Station website thanks to an agreement made between Google and the
American Booksellers Association, the largest national organization that represents independent booksellers such as ourselves.

As stated in a recent article, "ABA has partnered with Google because of its open and accessible platform, which allows ABA member bookstores to provide an easy way for their customers to discover, read, and buy e-books at competitive prices. Google is offering hundreds of thousands of titles for sale, ranging from new releases and bestsellers in every category to classics in the public domain."

What do I need to read a Google e-book?

The Google e-book site explains, "Google eBooks are stored in the cloud, so there is no file to download if you want to read on your computer, phone or tablet. To read online using the web reader, simply click the read button on any free or purchased ebooks. Once you open your book using our mobile reader apps, your book will sync to your device and you can continue reading it online or offline. Your ebooks will be stored within your Google account, which allows Google to save your page positions and sync across all the devices as you continue reading."

You can read Google e-books on any web browser that has JavaScript enabled or on any
U.S. Android phone that is running version 2.1 (Eclair) or later and has access to the Android Market, or on the iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad (iOS 3.0 or later). Google eBooks can be read with any dedicated e-book reader that supports the Adobe eBook platform, including the Barnes & Noble Nook™ and Readers™ from Sony. More than 85 devices support the Adobe eBook platform today. A full list of devices that support the Adobe eBook platform can be found here.

To begin
to read e-books using the Google app, visit this site. If you own an eReader, you'll want to see this page to learn how to download or transfer your e-books to your eReader.

How do I purchase an e-book on this site?

E-books can be found by using either of the two search boxes on the right side of the page. Enter the title, author, or keyword in either search box. The second search box, called "Search for eBooks" only presents results for e-books. The search box labeled "Search" will list all formats for the book (hardcover, paperback, audio, e-book, etc.).

Once you have found the e-book you want, click the "Add to Cart" button and follow the screen prompts to purchase and access your e-book.
