Peggy
Peggy spent her formative years in Los Alamos, and has had very successful careers in teaching and writing. Co-owner of Otowi Station, she is its designated out-of-print expert. And she's the only one on the staff who can coax the plush toys to recite Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's "Excelsior."
Michele
Michele is a technical writer and co-owner of Otowi Station, and underneath it all, a real book lover. She has a hard time not taking all the books home each night, but is so happy that she has finally figured out a way to get paid to read and drink coffee.
Alan
Alan catches a little quiet time in the backroom before the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows last summer. Alan, our store manager, has exercised his expertise (and wit, mmm-kay) at Otowi Station for more than a decade.
Marcine
When it comes to books for kids Marcine is the best. A talented artist, she has a special eye for wonderfully illustrated stories for the young ones. She also selects many of the learning and skills-building toys we feature.
Arlene
Arlene's been part of the Otowi Station family for a long time. She is our jack-of-all departments, working with Marcine and Terry. Everyone appreciates the touch of elegance she brings to our displays.

Terry
Toy-buyer Terry knows what pleases kids and grown-ups (are there grown-ups?) because she really does take toys home to test them. If you have a question about toys, Terry has an answer. She also designs most of our store displays in the finest style.
Becky
Otowi Station would be a dull, chocolate-less place without Becky, who selects our atomic memorabilia, tourist items, collectible game cards, and more. And chocolate. Did we mention chocolate? Becky is also a book maven who loves the vampire-romance genre.
Perry
An expert in all things geek, Perry heads the evening staff of Otowi Station, dazzling patrons with his knowledge of the latest science and technical books, as well as bestsellers. Perry is also our map buyer; he knows his way around the area and the globe.
Sue
Sue is recently back with Otowi Station after a year's hiatus. Her book smarts and warm personality can be enjoyed at Otowi Station on Saturdays and in the evenings.
Judy
Lucky for us, Judy left a peaceful retirement from Los Alamos National Lab to join our weekend staff. She is also one of our resident expert grandmothers; with six lovely grandkids, she definitely knows what to recommend to a customer faced with lots of choices.

 Ike
Ike, the store dog, is happy to work occasionally and does not keep regular hours. Having started life in Michigan, Ike decided to head west in 1998 at the age of 4. Ike's only real goals in life are to eat well, sleep well, and get lots of pets and give "pooches smooches" in return. His favorite town haunts are Daylight Donuts, where he spends his weekly allowance on donut holes, and Pet Pangaea, where his moms spend their weekly allowances on treats that he slobbers on and they feel, therefore, obliged to purchase.
Ike did have some other jobs before being a bookstore dog. He worked as a canine companion and was a founder of the Los Alamos Schools' Reading To Dogs program. He has fond memories.
