Sci-fi Collectibles!

Just in time for the holidays, we have a consignment of collectible figures from Star Wars®, Star Trek®, and other science-fiction classics, all new in boxes. You'll find 12-inch action figures, fighters, miniatures, and much more! These are perfect for collectors or fans of the seminal series (but probably not appropriate for kids younger than 3). We have a limited supply, and when they're gone, they're gone. What treasures will you find?

World Book Night

World Book Night LogoWorld Book Night will give away 1 million free books on April 23, and Otowi Station Bookstore is looking for “book givers” to help get books into the hands of people who are nonreaders or who are underserved because of income or location or other reasons.

A committee of booksellers and librarians chose the 30 titles to be given away. Special paperback editions of the 30 titles are being printed. Costs are being underwritten by publishers, printers and paper companies. All 30 authors have waived their royalties.

The book givers won’t be going to bookstores or libraries, but to such places as schools, coffee shops, movie theaters, wherever people hang out.

To be a book giver, visit the website of World Book Night, http://www.us.worldbooknight.org, and register by February 1.
For more information about becoming a book giver, contact Ellen Ben-Naim at 662-9589.
